Self Defence and Martial Arts

Lets just have an overview about our Self Defence System.

Unlike a Traditional Martial Arts class or a Contact Sports Club, we don’t focus on all the Classic and Traditional systems. Instead, We will be learning about the Practical and Real Time application of Self Defence.

What good will all our training be if we can’t use it to defend ourselves and people around us in real life. Right? No matter what kind of Martial Art we learn or how long we practice or how good we are in it; When it comes to the Real Life Stuff, not everyone can deal with it. Often even experienced Martial Artists have trouble facing real time situations.

So what good can a common man do against such situations?

For this very reason, we don’t focus all on Traditional Martial Arts. I’m not trying to say that Martial Arts isn’t good. As a matter of fact, it is. Even I was a Martial Artist and practiced various Martial Arts and Contact sports and I was good at it too. But when it came to execution and application, sadly I wasn’t able to do it when it mattered the most. I felt useless.

This is why I created this system. I studied and started to research about why and what is stopping us from using my art in real time. In time I realized that there are a lot of facts that had to be taken into account. For example, our environment, psychology of an offender, the mentality of ourselves and the opponents’, the adrenaline rush (fight or flight response), after effects of the fight, etc, etc,.  

The thing is, what we practice inside a Martial Art class and What we actually face in real time are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. Trust me. I’ve been there and I’ve suffered and I’ve also faced it and got over it. So I am aware of both sides.

Again I would like to mention that Martial Arts is good. But just that not all of us can apply and make use of it when it matters. So I devised this system.

Here, students are not just trained in techniques. We train their mind and body to REACT to any kind of tight situation. Not just a fight, but anywhere and everywhere. We help them understand reality and adapt to wherever they are.

Training includes, Awareness and the need to Learn Self Defence, Physical and Psychological Conditioning, Anatomy of the Body and Weak Spots (targets and strike points), Environmental Awareness, Understanding Real Time, Analyzing the Threat/Offender, Real Time Based Defence Techniques and Concepts, etc.

To put it in simple words, We train here to face real time threats. Everything that do here is based and focused on real time application can be applied in real life.

No matter what kind of Lifestyle you have or what your age/gender is, whether you are lean or fat, etc. None of your traits apply here. Anyone and Everyone can learn and use this System of Defence and that’s the main aspects of The RAFT Self Defence System.

A school going kid, A College Student, A Corporate employee, Home Maker, Office goer, or whatever you may be doing. It wont matter. Just spend 30 to 40 mins each day for practice and you’ll be able to Defend yourself from anything that comes in your way. In the end, this is what we need right? And This is exactly what we Provide here at RAFT.
